Boris Ziermans joins DHS Real Estate Investment Management as partner

Amsterdam – September 2024 – drs. Boris Ziermans MRE MRICS will join DHS Real Estate Investment Management as partner investment management. In his role, Boris will be pivotal in leveraging his network for the sourcing of investment product across asset classes such as office, light industrial and logistics. His wealth of expertise and investor network will also contribute to the continued growth of the platform.

Boris previously has been with Cushman & Wakefield for 14 years, where he – in his latest role as international partner – was head of the capital markets team and member of the Executive Committee. During his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Boris was responsible for landmark trades such as the largest single asset office sale in the Netherlands, the ABN AMRO headquarters located at the Amsterdam South Axis.  Prior to that role, Boris led the office agency and tenant rep team within Cushman & Wakefield and was responsible for all leasing activities in the Netherlands and advising corporates such as Unilever, EY and NXP on their real estate portfolio. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Boris was part of ING Bank’s Real Estate Development business, responsible for the leasing of iconic office developments in – amongst others – Amsterdam, such as Mahler 4 at the South Axis, Overhoeks and Kraanspoor. Boris holds a double Masters degree in both Business Administration as well as real estate and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).  In addition, Boris is author of the leading Dutch journal on commercial leasing law (Tijdschrift Voor Huurrecht Bedrijfsruimte).

All the expertise he has gained in his previous roles in the field of capital markets, leasing and property development will contribute to the platform of DHS Real Estate Investment Management.

Boris Ziermans: “DHS Real Estate Investment Management offers a unique, integrated operating platform with investment, leasing, development, asset and property management expertise. In addition, the platform operates across various asset classes such as hospitality, light industrial, logistics and offices and is therefore well positioned for further growth. High profile partners include institutional capital such as Prudential (PGIM), Gilde Equity Management and the family office of Baltisse that vary across asset classes with differing risk and return profiles. DHS offers a great infrastructure with a great and highly skilled team and I look forward to contribute to the growth of the platform.”

René de Heus: “We are thrilled to welcome Boris to the DHS platform – his longstanding expertise and extensive network will definitely contribute to a further growth of our company. I have worked with Boris over the last 15 years and he will bring a great business mentality and energy level to DHS. Boris will be focussing on growing our high quality pipeline throughout the different asset classes.”
